The executive officer of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA), Jill Smith, has listed TAMS as an ‘official patient organisation’ on the ASCIA website .
The Australasian Mastocytosis Society is the first mastocytosis/MCAD support/research organisation to ever be listed and recognised with this vital health body. This is so important for many reasons. Least of all, at last Physicians will (a) think more about their patients with a possible mast cell disorder and (b) be able to guide them to a support network group.
ASCIA is the peak professional body for clinical immunology and allergy in Australia and New Zealand.
