David Mayne, TAMS Chair, attended the ASCIA 2024 Conference in person, proudly representing TAMS and the broader mast cell disorder community. His participation highlighted TAMS’ commitment to staying at the forefront of research and developments in allergy and clinical immunology.

  • The hybrid conference attracted 712 delegates, with 518 attending in person and 193 attending virtually.
  • Over 60 speakers presented the latest research and clinical updates in allergy and immunology.
  • 132 posters and 23 oral clinical grand rounds case presentations were featured.

TAMS hosted an information booth where David had the opportunity to connect with medical practitioners, pharmaceutical representatives, and researchers, many of whom expressed great interest in learning more about MCADs.

We were also delighted to gift our supportive doctors a mini version of our quoll mascot! We hope to run a fundraising campaign next year, making these adorable mascots available for purchase by our members and friends.

TAMS quoll and mini quolls

We still have three full-sized quolls (pictured, centre) available for purchase at $40 each (including postage Australia-wide). If you’d like to get your hands on one, don’t wait! It’s first come, first served. Please email info@mastocytosis.org.au if you are interested in purchasing.
