#SpotOurSpots for Mastocytosis and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome lit up Australia and New Zealand on 20 October 2022
On October 20, more than 150 landmarks across Australia and New Zealand lit up to raise awareness of Mastocytosis and Mast Cell Diseases – a broad family of diseases that can be life-threatening and very often severely debilitating.
20 October 2022 was the fifth annual International Mastocytosis and Mast Cell Diseases Awareness Day.
The #SpotOurSpots campaign and Awareness Day raised awareness of the need for more accurate diagnostics, better treatments, further investments in research as well as built hope for mast cell disease patients all over Australia in dreaming for a brighter, healthier future.
In 2022, The Australasian Mastocytosis Society (TAMS) partnered with over 150 landmarks to light up purple (the international colour for Mastocytosis and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome).
